Paul. Hear what he is saying when he gets to obedience, no fear, no anxiousness, remember me always telling you that?
I could really use some guidance, it means the difference between adopting an awesome dog and giving him the best home ever or not. We have experience with giant breeds and toy breeds living together, but they grew up together…we now own 2 Shih Tzu and have been offered a Rottweiler that just turned 2. He loves all dogs, seems to be a very good although a VERY EXCITABLE BOY and his body in motion was much like a bull in a China shop. My new sneakers were covered in mud in a minute meaning he stomped all over my feet, doesn’t seem to have any awareness of what’s around him. We allowed the dogs to meet but did not put the little dogs down on the floor, no doubt they would have been trampled. The owners say he is always super excited when meeting new comers. He was very pushy towards my one dog, didn’t listen at all about backing off him, not aggressively just sniffing and wetting him good lol my dog for some reason didn’t seem to mind. I love working with and teaching dogs and we have an amazing back yard and live across from a huge park where he would go daily for a lot of exercise which he does not get now. However, our home isn’t large and we cannot allow any risk of injury to our two small dogs. This week I am taking the Rottweiler to the park a few days one on one to see if draining his energy helps. We plan another get together with the dogs after a park outing this week end. We want very much to give this boy a great home, it will be a lot of work, he is young and incredibly rambunctious but smart and a good dog. But please tell me how to teach him the importance of being watchful of 2 small dogs? I know for some time I’d keep him on lead and utilizing his crate which he loves. I know I will be taking care of everyone’s needs individually, but eventually how do I incorporate them? I am here doing this alone 99% of the time by the way.
Fantastic performance!
So my dog doesn’t have a problem waiting at the door but the moment I walk out first he runs and tugs on the leash. He also has no interest in treats (tried many) he is more interested in running up to people and whatever he wants to sniff. Any tips?
I love how easy they are to do at home, and I can already see how much they’ll help my pup’s behavior.
Definitely bookmarking this for my daily routine!”
